Jeweller-designer, a recognized master of jewelry art, well-known in Armenian and outside of the country, has a unique reputation. The work of this master contains a sensitive and tasteful combination of modern motives and themes with the best tradition of famous jewelry schools of the past (including the well-known Faberge Home). He uses the whole range of jewelry technique for processing of gold, silver, precious and semiprecious stones; extremely sensitive work with partition enamel on engraved metals. The combination of difficult technique with a sound taste makes the authentic work of this artist particularly unique, with an unexplainable soul, and attractiveness. Sarkis Sahakyan's art work has been exhibited in Russia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Hungary, India, the USA and Japan. Sarkis Sahakyan is a member of the Union of Armenian Artists, a member of the International Art Found, as well as the possessor of a gold medal at the International Fair that took place in India in 1982. The artist's works are permanently exhibited in many museums of Armenia, and in the Decorative-Applied Art Museums in Moscow. The small chests or the so-called Easter eggs with a surprise are the favorite subject of the master's interest. Not only the very egg is of the great interest but so is its content: it can be a polished semi-precious stone, a plot from antique mythology or an entertaining little scene from animal's life in the semblance of a tiny sculpture. A part of his works is in private collections, many of them have been presented to the famous role players of the time.
